Causes
Chronic Viral Hepatitis: Long-term infection with hepatitis B or C increases the risk.
Cirrhosis: Scarring of the liver tissue, commonly caused by chronic alcoholism or viral hepatitis.
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD): Accumulation of fat in the liver.
Aflatoxins: Toxins produced by certain molds found in peanuts, corn, and other crops.
Alcohol Consumption: Excessive and prolonged alcohol intake is a significant risk factor.
Signs & Symptoms
Abdominal Pain: Discomfort or pain in the upper abdomen.
